Welcome to our first section of our ten part inaugural Sidetracks & Detours Annual Joined Up Jazz Festival. Master of ceremonies for our opening ceremony today is global broadcaster, Manchester poet and now one of our Joined Up Jazz Journalists, Steve Bewick. After five years of being his co-presenter of all across the arts, a weekly programme put out by Crescent Radio I should have guessed that the first artist he would play would be someone who, like Steve himself was always prepared to talk about jazz, his ´love supreme.´ So come follow art and join us wandering down the sidetracks and detours towards Joined Up Jazz.
