Raison D'être

We are a Community Charity based in Clitheroe serving the Ribble Valley. Supporting local musicians and inspiring youth talent, we bring you great music from far and wide to enjoy and encourage everyone to take part.

RVJ&B’s aim is to promote the enjoyment of jazz music with a focus on community, inclusiveness, accessibility and cultural diversity especially in recognition of the influences of jazz’s black music heritage.

Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues and its Festival, RVJ&BF, is independent, run by committee, and dependent on income from grants and the audience.
