He will be flanked by two virtuosic musicians in their own right, guitarist Mike Walker and harmonica player Hermine Deurloo, for a fabulous night of music that was initially planned for the Ribble Valley Jazz Festival, 2020.
The two founder members of the much loved group “The Impossible Gentlemen” - Gwilym and Mike - have established a unique rapport through their love of music of all kinds from rock to classical, jazz and folk. These extraordinary improvisational talents explore a rich harmonic world that is highly accessible, emotionally engaging and often jaw dropping. They met Hermine Deurloo at Ambleside Festival last year and found an instant musical rapport. This is a new trio with much to explore.
CHORS GITAN will be supporting Gwilym Simcock, Mike Walker and Hermine Deurloo this Friday.
Guitarists Matt Wells and Willy Fluss will set the atmosphere for the evening with a selection of fine guitar music ranging from the "Hot Club Repertoire" to interpretations of more contemporary well known themes.
